Thinking Forward Campaign Goals

The Thinking Forward Campaign supports the construction of the Athletic & Wellness Center, Science & Innovation Center, and gifts to Endowment. It is a $7.5 million campaign, of which we’ve raised $6.9 million. The needs of the school were identified through our NEASC re-accreditation process, strategic planning, and a master facilities plan (MFP). When complete, the MFP will “right-size” our campus to meet our academic needs, not expand our student body. The current campaign addresses a piece of the needs identified in the MFP. When this campaign is complete, we will continue to work through the MFP, which includes projects like building a Dining Commons, renovation of the Upper School, and more. $7.5 million comprehensive campaign through 2020 with two components:

$6,500,000 *minimum goal

Raised to date: $6,168,724

Remaining: $331,276

The funds raised through philanthropy will be used towards construction costs of the Athletic & Wellness Center, as well as the Science & Innovation Center.

*minimum goal

Raised to date: $756,344

Remaining: $243,656

While our facilities needs are our most pressing issue, this campaign includes an endowment component. It is important for us to create a plan that demonstrates the School’s commitment to future generations of students. Investment income earned on endowment can serve as a steady, reliable revenue stream in perpetuity.

Your endowed gift keeps Derryfield sustainable. Named endowed funds can be established with a gift of $100,000+. For gifts under $100,000 you can support existing endowed funds for financial aid, faculty support, professional development, and more.
